Freeloading: Rainbow Danger Club’s Says Goodbye with Souvenir

Not exactly freeloading but close enough when you can pay what you want with 0 an allowed amount. But thats besides the point!
Rainbow Danger Club, arguably one of Shanghai’s better bands, is calling it quits on account of a member leaving.. I’m sad about that because i’ve always thought of them as one of the more talented groups out there. Their music, art, lyrics, personality just fits.. it’s hard to explain considering i don’t usually seek out that genre of music and generally despise it. but in their case, it just works.

They’re leaving us with a decent number of records, well recorded, polished and throughly enjoyable as far as i’m concerned. The latest one, Souvenir, was released this past weekend officially at nice little show which you can read all about on this little tumbler. Their final performance will be on JUne 22 for those of you that happen to be down there and you absolutely should go check it out.

In the meantime, go take Souvenir for a spin

thanks for the memories and the music.

Ooo, hello! I just found your website. Thanks for posting about the show! I’m a long-time buddy of the RDC boys and as a going-away present, I’m hyping the show by illustrating my way through all the performers at Goodbye, Shanghai! and posting them, one per day until the 22nd, on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/events/175697075926653/) and sharing it with the amazing help of Shanghai 24/7 (http://www.shanghai247.net/music/features/countdown-goodbye). It’s hard for me to tell sometimes where the bands are originating (as I’m not immediately familiar with everyone performing and there’s a bunch of crossover between members of groups), but if any people and/or acts are coming out of Beijing, feel free to hype ’em alongside us! Cheers! -M.M.

to try and do so! Your writing taste has been amazed me. Thank you, very great post.
