18thHelen Feng brings back The Rock Show.. sort off

I miss good DJs… and by DJ I don’t mean that person behind the turntables at a club mixing tunes, I’m referring to a good old DJ that goes through new music introducing listeners to it and what not. In China, I haven’t really been able to find anything like that since the Rock Show, helmed by Helen Feng, went off the air.

well, it’s back!! kind off….

It’s not on the radio or on TV! It’s not on itunes at the moment because it would most likely lead to interesting lawsuits but it is on Douban with already 8 Episodes.

Helen is her usual self going through a mix of western and local artists both in English and Chinese picking some cool songs and providing interesting feedback/insight. Of particular interest is episode 8 which has Nanwu, Omnipotent Youth Society and re-TROS amongst others.

Go get it folks, it’s free to listen and streams flawlessly within China.

The only thing that could be cooler is being able to easily get the episodes and listen to them offline without all the mafan and maybe putting it on a schedule so that we know when it’s ready.
