FYI: Simple Plan shows cancelled in Beijing and Shanghai

Just in case you were planning to head over to Tango tonight for Simple Plan‘s concert, better plan again. The show has been cancelled on account of lead singer Pierre being diagnosed with “swollen vocal chords”.

It’s bad enough that the Shanghai date had to be cancelled too…. sorry to hear that!
Here is a message from the band’s official Weibo (click for bigger)

The promoters have spent quite a bit of cash on this and the band is already in Beijing so it must suck for them!

apparently Simple Plan was at Neon Trees’ gig last night, but I couldn’t see any of them! I reckon Pierre was affected by the pollution in Asia. I was disappointed when I found out the show was cancelled yesterday.

hmmm. that didn’t post…here it is again:

Confirmed that the singer really injured his vocal chords and this apparently is rare for this band to cancel. It’s a shame but wish the guy well.
