Strawberry Upon Us: Festival back to Tongzhou in May, plans 10 Cities

Looks like good old Modern Sky has fired the first salvo in Music festival season with an early announcement about the 2014 edition of Strawberry Music Festival.

The details are still pretty slim right now but expect 3 days to be filled with music from May 1st to May 3rd.

This year, Modern Sky is taking their festival to 10 cities across the mainland although the dates are yet to be confirmed.

I can’t say i’m terribly excited about festival in Beijing this year because i just got this bad gut feeling inside that we’re gonna be treated to “nothing special”.. i.e Modern Sky will get most of the bands under contract stopping them from playing MIDI with a few notable exceptions who get a pass. MIDI will scramble last minute for acts and space then pull off another great comeback. On the bright side, a little birdie tells me that you might find Merguez and Rum at MIDI this year 🙂
