Zhangbei Inmusic Festival Goes for Number 4

Zhangbei Inmusic Festival is like the bastard red-haired child of music festivals, really! So far, they’ve brought in Tricky, Killing Joke and more really cool acts over the past few years and have to be commanded for that. They do still need to clean up their act in terms of scheduling but alas, things happen slowly in the big silly.

The news have gone out in weibo land about the upcoming 4th edition and I’m actually excited about this one. The details are fairly scarce at this time as far as lineup up and what not but we have dates and some potential names:
Dates: July 27, 28 & 29th
Names: Tang Dynasty, Spiritualized (UK), Orbital (UK), Joyce Jonathan (France), Linkoban (Denmark), Joanna Wang (Taiwan), miserable Faith and more
( hat tip to Alex at the Gig Guide for Spotting things first)

I’ll update when more details are available or keep an eye on their official website.

might be the year i actually make it out there.

“miserable Faith and more”. At first glance I read ‘Faith No More’! I know, very unlikely, but please don’t tease me like that!

By ‘bastard redhead child’ I’m sure you actually mean, ‘awesome crazy fun redhead child’ – as we know all redheads are – and zhangbei is as well!

I’m itching for a camping trip and this seems like the perfect opportunity – who’s in?

  3. Very good info. Lucky me I found your blog by accident (stumbleupon). I’ve book-marked it for later!

Greetings Beijing Daze from Sneaky Pete of Australia’s Rock’n’Soul’ Specialists “PlanB”. The band is one of a small number of foreighn bands that will be appearing at the Zhangbei Inmusic Festival in 2012 as part of our ‘3 Steps Closer Tour’ of China. Not sure where your musical tastes lie or if you have any interest in the type of music ‘PlanB’ plays, but was wondering whether you would be interested in coming along to a few of our shows. I am already in China (Harbin) and the rest of the band arrives in Beijing from Australia on 17 July. Look forward to hear from you
