Cui Jian: Rock n Roll is Dead, Back to the Beijing Philarmonic Orchestra:
While rumours have been running around for a while now, it seems that things are finally official: Cui Jian, in his customary outspoken style, declares that rock n roll is dead and that he is rejoining the Beijing Philarmonic Orchestra.

In a press conference at the hall of the people, an uncapped Lao Cui explained that the friction around his participation to the spring festival gala lead to this unexpected decision: “after years of trying, rock n roll just has not provided any solutions and my goal to make Yi Wo Suo You a national anthem is not working. Kids remember the lyrics up to a point then they grow up and move on to classical music.”
When asked about his contribution to yaogun, Cui explained that yoagun was just a phase but his real love was “orchestra work.”
Cui also mentioned how the recent events affecting his friend, Chinese actor Wen Zhang, who apologised for cheating on his wife of six years, Chinese actress Ma Yili in a lengthy micro blog post on Monday. He went on to day: It really put things in perspective for me: I was married to this beautiful creature and along came the attractive young new thing that seduced me. I thought it was love at first, but i’ve realised after 28 years that it was merely lust and i was wrong all along. Now, I can’t wait to get back to my first love.
In unrelated news, authorities reported an unusual amount of red scarves being filling up the city’s trash bins.
